Despite many lineup issues, British punkers Almeida are still moving on and have a couple of new tracks ready. The first one is called “A song for Europe” and is, as you may expect it, about Brexit. Singer Tom West comments : It sums up the liberating but incredibly self-conscious feeling of touring Europe shortly after the 2016 EU referendum. Especially since that time, we’ve felt far more at home on stage and at shows on the mainland than we do back in England, where the atmosphere and attitude to those deemed to be outsiders or ‘traitors’ has become so dangerously toxic.
