Five albums in, you might expect Airbourne to have flagged somewhat. They have a pretty simple remit, after all, and as Boneshaker’s title-track kicks things off with a slow beat and a riff that could have been lifted directly from AC/DC circa For Those About To Rock…, it seems that not much has changed. Producer Dave Cobb (Chris Cornell, Shooter Jennings) offered an alternative title for the album, This Is A Fuckin’ Rock ‘N’ Roll Record, and that’s the beauty as well as the limitation of it.
