Last year, Chino Moreno and Deftones returned to write at ‘the spot’, their hometown studio base in Sacramento, for the first time in a decade. Here, when the space was nothing but an abandoned warehouse in an empty part of town, they installed a half-pipe for skateboarding and recorded their 1997 album, Around The Fur. A decade changes much, and Chino was quietly shocked to see the room exactly as it was 10 years before.
