News: English Metallers Loathe Release New, Ambient, Instrumental Album ‘The Things They Believe’

Liverpool metal outfit Loathe have released a new, ambient, instrumental album, titled The Things They Believe, out now through SharpTone Records. While representing a somewhat stark and delicate left turn from Loathe’s enthralling blend of metal and progressive soundscapes on previous efforts like 2017’s The Cold Sun and 2020’s stellar I Let It In And It Took Everything, the band’s newest record reflects the months spent at home, quarantined and in isolation during 2020, time spent away from their spotlight on stage and on tour. With intricate textures and methodical compositions, The Things They Believe is a cerebral listen, more akin to a sweeping, cinematic film score than a hard-hitting metal release.
