Green Day have their new album Saviors out and they’ve been gearing up for a stadium tour that will see them performing American Idiot and Dookie in full plus new material and more, but last night (2/27), Billie Joe Armstrong took a break from Green Day to have a little fun. He brought his covers band The Coverups to The Garage in London, and Courtney Love joined him on stage to do guest vocals on three songs. Sex Pistols‘ Glen Matlock as well as Blondie‘s Clem Burke were reportedly among those in attendance. “We’re The Coverups, we play cover songs,” Billie Joe said on stage. “This is the kind of stuff that we do at home.
