When we last saw Slipknot, they had the mighty Behemoth opening for them in a ferocious, Satanic, blackened death metal flurry of hellfire. The sort of band you’d expect to perform before one of the greatest and most intense live bands on the planet. But that wasn’t always the case. Back in 2005, thanks to a mixup from U.S. talk show host Conan O’Brien, the comedy vocal harmony group Slipnutz were booked to support Slipknot at the Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey. As you can imagine, the 10,000 screaming Maggots in attendance weren’t fans of their slippery, nutty antics.
