Russia’s JARS Return With New Album ‘ДЖРС III’

On their third full-length JARS may have turned away from politicised punk rock of the “Подлог” EP to a more complicated sound that is coupled with personal lyrics, but they have retained their recognisable anger and loudness. Since their last release the band’s line-up has changed, with their new members, drummer Mikhail Rackaev and bassist Pavel Orlov, JARS sound melodic and groovy, sometimes even blending funk influences, whilst the guitar and vocals by Anton Obrazeena stay ugly, abrasive and sharp.
