Billy No Mates started out in 2004 as the solo project of legendary Snuff singer Duncan Redmonds. It eventually became a multinational, full-band project that released three LPs and three EPs and toured extensively in both Europe and Japan. In 2010, the same year as their third LP, Duck, Duck, Goose!, Redmonds did a recording session in San Francisco with a local, all-star punk band. The American version of Billy No Mates included Lagwagon’s Joey Cape, Dead to Me’s Tyson Annicharico, and Samiam’s Sergie Loobkoff. S.F. Sourdough was the product of those sessions.
