Skate-punks Counterpunch have announced they will release a two-track 7” January 29 via SBÄM Records (EU) and Thousand Island Records (USA), their first new music since 2014’s Bruises. The 7” – comprised of “We, the Role” and “Handbook for the Recently Debriefed” – is meant to shorten the wait and whet the appetite for their new full-length album, TBA. Counterpunch’s metal-infused skate-punk is inspired by the Fat Wreck era of punk, with the new songs acting as a commentary of the hate and strife over religion, gender, and sexuality, rife in society right now.
