The Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto was all lit up on Tuesday, April 19th, when The Darkness from Lowestoft England hit the stage. Promoting their Motorheart album, released in October 2021, this tour takes them clear across the globe. The support act for the North American leg of the tour is The Dead Deads out of Nashville; unfortunately, they were unable to perform on Tuesday due to whatever reasons. Since they were in Buffalo the night before, I assume it had something to do with the border crossing. Even though I was disappointed by this news, it didn’t seem to upset any of tonight’s concertgoers. A DJ simply cranked out a ’70s and ’80s playlist and turned it up loud.
