“Yesterday’s Not Here” is a musical project to capture the breadth of Pete Shelley‘s musical and lyrical genius, approved by Pete’s wife. While widely and best known for the Buzzcocks hits of the late 1970s, Pete also produced a significant catalogue of works as a solo artist. Contributions are invited for consideration for a proposed album of Pete Shelley covers to be issued on Secret Public Records, initially as a digital download at a nominal price. Proceeds will benefit the Pete Shelley Memorial Campaign. Submissions of recordings of his lesser-known songs are encouraged.
