Riot Fest moving back to Chicago’s Douglass Park

After years of public battling with neighbors, Riot Fest shocked everybody in June when they announced that they were moving locations, a complication that possibly also explained the later-than-usual lineup announcement that came after that. The move was controversial to many, as it meant new challenges related to a location in the suburbs, Bridgeview, IL’s SeatGeek Stadium (not to mention many had already purchased tickets and made travel arrangements). Well, now Riot Fest is surprising everybody again two months later by announcing that they’ve abandoned those plans and are back to holding the fest in its original location of Douglass Park. A press release reads: “If there was no Chicago, there’d be no Riot Fest” Said Michael “Riot Mike” Petryshyn, founder of Riot Fest...
