Exactly one month on from wrapping up the European and UK leg of their Saviors Tour with a sold-out show at Wembley Stadium, Green Day’s massive North American run officially began last night (July 29). For this two-month stint the band have brought along a fantastic supporting cast of The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas, and they all kicked things off yesterday at the massive Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately Rancid and the Pumpkins’ sets were seemingly cut short due to bad weather, but the headliners were unaffected and still able to tear through a phenomenal 37-song setlist – including, as promised, Dookie and American Idiot in full.
