While we’re still awaiting actual new Avenged Sevenfold music, three members of the band – guitarist Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman – have joined forces for a new Misfits cover in the meantime. The trio have tackled Hybrid Moments to mark October 1, and Halloween being right around the corner. “We wanted to have a little fun with you to kick off the Halloween season,” shares Zacky. “Brooks wanted to do a Misfits song. I wanted to paint my face like KISS and call ourselves the KISSFits and Johnny wanted to drink and walk around town dressed like a skeleton. Nightmare
2010 release, the fifth album from the Alt-Metal outfit, produced by Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem) and mixed by noted engineer Andy Wallace. The album is the first from the band without drummer James the Rev Sullivan, who passed away in December. Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy plays drums on the album. Over the years, Avenged Sevenfold has built a fanatical fan base that includes more than one million fans on Facebook. They have also attracted 93 million plays on MySpace.
