“31 Years Of Kerplunk: A South American Tribute To Green Day” Released

Thirteen Brazilian and three Argentinian bands came together in a project to present Green Day fans with a tribute to the 31st anniversary of Kerplunk, the last Green Day release by an independent label before Dookie changed everything. Kerplunk, which saw the beginning of the band’s partnership with music producer Rob Cavallo and was the first album that featured drummer Tré Cool, was originally released on January 17th 1992 and was Green Day’s second studio album. The release is an initiative of the Grudda Records, with mastering by Davi Package and cover art by Paulinho Tscherniak. The album features Os Ildefonsos, Flanders 72, Bugui Asteroide, Bubblegumers, Leandro Solitario, Capones, Janelles, Letícia Pires, BRAmones, F.
