Green Day are in the midst of a massive tour that has them playing Dookie in full for its 30th anniversary and American Idiot in full for its 20th, and now they’ve also announced an 8LP or 4CD American Idiot box set, featuring a live album recorded at NYC’s Irving Plaza in 2004, demos, B-sides, a new 110-minute documentary film, and more. (Dookie got the box set treatment last year.) The announcement reads: Both of these [CD and LP] limited-edition Super Deluxe Box Sets feature the Original Album as well as a plethora of essential extras.
