Disney have unveiled the first trailer for this year’s Tron: Ares. The third instalment in the franchise – following 2010’s Tron: Legacy – will hit cinemas on October 10, 2025, and it excitingly has a couple of tie-ins with the rock world: it’ll feature Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto playing titular protagonist Ares, and it includes a brand-new, original score from Nine Inch Nails men Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. In November, director Joachim Rønning said having NIN onboard made the movie “a little grittier, a little bit more industrial”. He added, “It’s been important for me to contrast The Grid and the real world.
