Operation Ivy still haven’t reunited, but Tim Armstrong (also of Rancid) and Jesse Michaels seem to be getting more and more comfortable with playing those songs together, especially when backyard LA shows and The Specials are involved. Last year, Tim and Jesse played “Sound System” at a backyard charity concert backed by members of The Interrupters, before Tim and Interrupters members performed as The Specials’ backing band, and now Stereogum reports that Tim and Jesse reunited again at the backyard tribute show to the late Specials vocalist Terry Hall on Saturday night (10/14).
