Czech psychedelic/experimental black metal outfit Voluptas released their latest album Towards the Great White Nothing this past September via Metalgate. Their cerebral approach made our ears prick up here at V13, so we simply had to ask them a few questions about the record, their influences and the state of Czech extreme metal. The name Voluptas directly translates from Latin as ‘pleasure.’ It can also be tied, mythologically speaking, to the daughter of Cupid and Psyche, herself a goddess of sensuality and pleasure.
