Niko is set to release her new record, ELECTRIC UNION, this fall, and ahead of the new LP, she will premiere two new singles. She released one of those singles, alongside a new lyric video, “You Used To Have Her,” today, premiering here at New Noise. The first single has a driving breakbeat, fuzz bass, and synth rave bleeps, along with elements that might take some of those familiar with Niko’s previous work by surprise. The song was produced by Alm and recorded in his own Speed Limit Studios, giving the beat-smith a chance to revisit his love of old-school, ’90s breakbeat.
