The Get Up Kids announce ‘Something To Write Home About’ tour with Smoking Popes

Midwest emo vets The Get Up Kids will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their classic, massively influential 1999 album Something To Write Home About by playing it in full on tour this summer and fall. Support comes from another great, veteran Midwest band, Smoking Popes. The tour is bookended by appearances at Pittsburgh’s Four Chord Music Fest and Las Vegas’ second & fourth wave emo-centric Best Friends Forever fest. Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday (4/26) at noon Eastern. The NYC-area gets stops at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on September 28 and Asbury Park’s Stone Pony on October 1. All dates are listed below.
