Christ, that went quick, didn’t it? Another year has flown past, and with it, the coalface of music has been changed once again. Across the past 12 months, there have been hundreds of killer albums released. Some by returning, reliable heroes, others swinging comebacks, others – and most excitingly – new pups challenging the very balance of things. In the wake of COVID, it has been a true joy not just to have so much new music, but to know it’s being released into a world where it can breathe at gigs, with other people.
