Since their emergence with the release of debut EP Colour My World in November 2018, Tamala Park Book Club have honed myriad musical and aesthetic influences, a dexterous array of rock, punk and pop all shining through. With Perth particularly isolated during the COVID pandemic, Tamala Park Book Club spent the difficult and introspective time expelling their frustration by writing. A sense of collaboration and cohesion is tangible in the Australian outfit’s musical output, but also ebbs through their intertwining of influences as well as regular instrument swaps between band members.
