Hailing from Seattle, WA, Sun Spots make alternative punk with a pop tinge that’s meant to get stuck in your head. Today, the band announced their debut EP, Loosey, that is set for release on October 14th via Happy Families Records. The four songs on the EP are heavy, uptempo, and earnest rock tracks driven by crunchy guitars and DIY ethics. On their new single, Big Stroke, the band channels guitar-forward greats like Superchunk and Guided By Voices coated by vocalist Kailey’s sugary meets laid-back approach. The song follows the more grunge-adjacent Loosey which the band released earlier this year.
