Atmosphere is an underrated quality in music, but it’s one that’s championed by Pink Cliffs. The alternative rock/psych pop band today reveals their new single “Homework Forever.” It’s an atmospheric number, to say the least. There are some major cinematic and spaghetti western vibes throughout this song, conjuring up thoughts of times and eras long past. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the experimental Delta blues sounds of someone like Tom Waits. “Homework Forever” comes on the heels of the more frantically paced “Never Gonna Make You Mine.” Both songs are off the band’s debut album, Long Shadows.
