Paramore’s Hayley Williams Releases Eerie New Single And Video, Simmer

Yesterday, Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams teased the first single from her upcoming new solo album, Petals For Armor. Now, that song, titled Simmer, is out in the world — and man, is it intense. Full of shadow and still moments, the song shows Hayley playing with her darker side. It’s certainly more danceable and personal that the material everyone knows from her work in Paramore, and hints at a sense of introspection in the album as a whole. The video, meanwhile, is immersed in the artsy horror of today, echoing films like The Conjuring, The Witch, and It Comes At Night.
