It’s been another week of big music news, including that Refused and Mew are both breaking up after final shows in 2025, and also that a band you might have thought was done, Planes Mistaken For Stars, have announced a new album featuring the final recordings from their late vocalist Gared O’Donnell. On top of that, there are a handful of heavy-hitter new albums out today. I highlight seven below, and Bill talks about another seven in Indie Basement, including Nilüfer Yanya, Tindersticks, Nada Surf, Robyn Hitchcock, The Mystery Lights, Trentemøller, and Mermaid Chunky.
