Green Day’s Father Of All… Video Is About “Dancing, Anxiety, Tribalism, Joy, And Straight-Up Violence”

To coincide with the release of their explosive new video for Father Of All…, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has explained the clip’s meaning – and what he wants fans to take away from it. While the punk rock titans told Kerrang! about their new single and album’s sound and how they “want to fuck with people”, Billie Joe says of the video that it’s about “dancing, anxiety, tribalism, joy, and straight-up violence”. “It’s the history of us – meaning all of us,” the frontman continues. “None of this is choreographed… (except the hotties in red) we don’t need to be choreographed… just lose your shit… scream like no-one is listening… dance like your hair is on fire. punk soul rockers!
