Fans of technical death metal might want to check out the Athens, Greece-based band, Black Path. The fivesome just dropped their latest single, “Barren Conflagration,” which was engineered and mixed in Greece by Ioannis Kaneris and mastered in Sweden by Buster Odeholm. Commenting on the new track, the group shared, “‘Barren Conflagration’ is heavily inspired by the lore of Lost Izalith, focusing on the refusal that drives us to struggle for something that is already gone, avoiding acceptance and inevitably suffering the consequences of our actions.” For those new to the band and their music, Black Path formed in 2010 and started by dropping two singles (“Bloodshed” and “Born Underground” ) in 2011 and 2012 before unveiling, Dominion in Pain, their debut EP, in 2013.
