Last year, as lockdown forced musicians back inside, bands had to find new ways to pass the time. Having already made a new Foo Fighters album, Taylor Hawkins had already ticked off one job from the to-do list. Next idea – and something he’s fairly fond of doing semi-regularly – start a new band with a bunch of other cats. In this case, Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro – who Taylor calls “the best lead guitarist in alternative rock” — and bassist Chris Cheney, with whom the drummer played during his time in Alanis Morissette’s band, and in his own solo band The Coattail Riders.
