Salad Days, filmmaker Scott Crawford’s 2014 documentary about Washington, DC’s fertile 1980s punk scene, turns 10 this year and the director has a new director’s cut edition just for the occasion, and will screen it around the country this fall. “Anytime you step away from a project, and look at it through a fresh lens of time, you find small ways to improve the storytelling,” Crawford said of his new cut, which includes newly shot interviews. “I felt like I needed to create some additional nuances and observations that were missing.
