The offering that we have received from Vile Creature and Bismuth is massive and breathtaking. Only alternating between a crawl and a trudge for pacing, it takes its time to fill the space inside and outside of listeners. Each band have established themselves with a punishing sound in their own takes on doom and sludge; however, when the two duos come together to make a quartet, the amount of sound is truly insurmountable. Bismuth’s portions were recorded by Ian Boult at Stuck On A Name Studios in Nottingham, and Vile Creature’s was recorded by Sean Pearson at Boxcar Sound Studios in Hamilton.
