Album Review: The Linda Lindas – Growing Up

If you haven’t heard of The Linda Lindas yet, you’re missing out on the next wave of kick ass femme-punk. Their latest release, and first full length album, Growing Up is a socially conscious album about—you guessed it—growing up, and the strange world they’re growing up in. If you’re looking for an old-school punk sound with a new twist, this is the album for you. The Linda Lindas have an interesting history. They seemingly came out of nowhere. Forming in 2018, they have had a very impressive career thus far, opening for Bikini Kill, writing songs for Amy Poehler’s film Moxie, and making their television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live in June of 2021 after being signed to Epitaph Records thanks to a performance of their song “Racist, Sexist Boy” going...
