Album Review: SECTION H8 – Welcome to the Nightmare

Section H8 are an L.A.-based crossover band that have been cutting their teeth in the L.A. underground music scene for some time. Welcome to the Nightmare is their debut album which features some pedigree, with the inclusion of Rancid, Operation Ivy, and The Transplants’ Tim Armstrong on guest vocals for the track “Streetsweeper.” Welcome to the Nightmare is a difficult record to review because it’s just middlingly fine. When you hear the term “crossover trash,” what do you think of? Well, it’s basically just as safe, generic, and orthodox as a crossover album can be.
