Album Review: Glitterer – Life Is Not A Lesson

On Life Is Not A Lesson, which drops on February 26 via Anti- Records, Washington, D.C.-area artist Ned Russin (who performs here under the moniker of Glitterer) presents a thoroughly invigorating look at everyday feelings of churning tension. On these latest Glitterer songs, Russin performs a sort of fuzzed out post-hardcore that somehow sounds both powerful and poignant. Glitterer sometimes sounds a bit shoegazey, because the tones are thick and somewhat hazy, but rather than any sort of contemplation of still life, the music consistently moves forward.
