Album Review: Barely Civil – I’ll Figure This Out

Do we need another Emo band with a heavy guitar laden sound, that screams of introspective wanderings and all the baggage that comes along with this.  Well here we have exactly this, but for a band of such a tender age, this is a very accomplished driven sound, that does have some very atmospherical moments. Being Barely Civil seems to come to these guys naturally, hanging on the edge of what could very easily fall into an abyss of out pouring, is reigned in   just enough to not become uncivil.   Dropping some tribal beats as starter in ‘…For Now’, kind of hints at the spiritual side of trying to understand the why’s in life.
