Alan Regardin Releases Experimental & Intriguing Album, ‘Ritual Tones’

French musician and composer Alan Regardin has released Ritual Tones, an album inspired by traditional drone music and contemporary music. The album is produced by the French collective Les Mouflons and is being published by the labels Nunc and Ormo Records. Inspired by traditional drone music as well as early and contemporary music, this piece for trombone, flugelhorn, saxophone and positive organ focuses on intonation and textures, both harmonic and timbral, as well as chord iteration, plunging the listener into a state of loss of temporal reference points. Time is dilated to permit the contemplation of an all-too-frequently elusive present, to attempt to phase in and find resonance within oneself and with the elements of our world.
