While writing on the road can be a tall task, it’s often the most effective way for newish bands like Social Creatures to flesh out new material. That’s exactly what they did while out on the road touring behind their 2022 self-titled debut album. The Brooklyn-based act apportioned whatever time available to write new songs together which offered them the opportunity to workshop songs in front of live audiences. In real-time, they were able to assess what resonated with the live crowds and what didn’t. For the parts that didn’t produce much of a response, the guys had the privilege of rewriting on the go.
