The new LP is a gloomy, dreamy sophomore album radiating moonlit warmth surrounded by a haze of abrasive, layered guitars and united by the soulful, soothing vocals of Isa Holliday. It’s a step forward for the band, as they settle more comfortably into their sound following their highly acclaimed debut album, Aurora. Slow Crush toured nearly nonstop from the end of 2018 until January 2020, with bands like Pelican, Torche, Soft Kill, and Gouge Away, playing festivals like Road Burn, Arctangent, 2000Trees, and Groez Rock.
