Green Day Called Out Donald Trump While Performing American Idiot Live This Weekend

While Green Day won’t necessarily be taking aim at Donald Trump in their forthcoming Father Of All… album, it seemingly won’t be stopping frontman Billie Joe Armstrong from making a political statement live regarding their current president. Case in point: this weekend’s performance at the iHeartRadio Festival. The punk rock titans hit the Las Vegas event over the weekend for an ace six-song performance, with Billie Joe switching up the lyrics to the band’s legendary 2004 hit single American Idiot in the set’s opening; instead of singing, ‘I’m not a part of the redneck agenda,’ the vocalist changed the words to, ‘I’m not a part of the MAGA agenda,’ of course referring to Trump’s infamous Make America Great Again&n...
