Mac McCaughan, from rock band Superchunk, has composed the score for new Amy Poehler-directed Netflix movie “Moxie”, out now. McCaughan recorded the score at his home studio throughout February-May 2020, with a little help in the form of remote contributions from Michael Benjamin Lerner of Telekinesis, Phil Cook and Matt McCaughan of the Hiss Golden Messenger live band, and Chris Stamey of The dB’s. Everything except for the strings (which were tracked in Hollywood) was recorded at McCaughan’s home.
