Despite MTV having to adapt this year’s VMAs to adhere to coronavirus restrictions, it didn’t stop the awards show from boasting an absolutely brilliant live performance by winner Machine Gun Kelly. The musician – real name Colson Baker – teamed up with a couple of his recent collaborators for a VMAs pre-show set, performing on a sunny rooftop with blackbear for my ex’s best friend, and blink-182 legend Travis Barker for a nighttime rendition of the pair’s infectious single Bloody Valentine.
