Never a band to take the obvious route, Tool have signed, um, a kitchen sink and put it up for auction to benefit The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. Maynard James Keenan, Danny Carey, Adam Jones and Justin Chancellor have all scribbled on a stainless-steel sink, which will be auctioned off in an Icons & Idols: Trilogy Rock ‘N’ Roll auction by Julien’s Auctions. Proceeds will go to The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund, a non-profit formed for the late heavy metal vocalist, who lost his life to stomach cancer in 2010. 2010 release, the fifth album from the Alt-Metal outfit, produced by Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem) and mixed by noted engineer Andy Wallace. The album is the first from the band without drummer James the Rev Sullivan, who passed away in December. Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy plays drums on the album.
