Fierce independent Scottish duo The Twistettes are set to release their third full length, Red Door Open, on the 2nd May, the sisters, Jo and Nicky D’arc, have not shifted from their combination of driven fuzzed out bass and pounding drums, but in comparison to their previous brace of albums this album seems to have been given an slight layer of polish. Maybe this shouldn’t be a surprise considering that David Brennan, who has worked with the likes of The Jesus and Mary Chain, Mogwai and Primal Scream, was at the helm during the recording of the album.
