The Get Up Kids share “Ten Minutes” music video & demo from ‘Something To Write Home About’ 25

The Get Up Kids recently shared a new music video for “Holiday” with archival tour footage and a demo of the song from the upcoming 25th anniversary edition of their classic 1999 album Something To Write Home About, and now they’ve done the same for one of the album’s other most-loved songs, “Ten Minutes.” The video was directed by the band’s longtime friend Josh Berwanger of The Anniversary, and here’s what co-guitarist/vocalist Jim Suptic (who wrote and sings “Ten Minutes”) had to say: When I wrote the opening guitar riff for “Ten Minutes,” my inspiration was the song “Do the Vampire” by Superdrag.
