It was a dream come true, and the event lived up to my expectations and more. The Brat, the East Los Angeles Mexican punk rock band from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s that almost made it big. From playing backyard shows and hard-to-find small gigs in LA, to getting regular radio play, touring with Adam Ant and REM, to…..nothing.
