Foxing just released The Albatross: Ten Years, a 10th anniversary reissue of their breakthrough 2013 debut album The Albatross that features the original album, new stripped-back reworkings of “The Medic” and “Rory,” and covers and re-imaginings of the songs by newer emo and emo-adjacent bands, including Sweet Pill, Home Is Where, Prince Daddy & the Hyena, Carly Cosgrove, For Your Health, Insignificant Other, Hey ily, and Colleen Dow (of Thank You, I’m Sorry). The whole thing is pretty awesome, and it feels like a great way to bridge emo generation gaps and put on for an exciting new crop of bands who are keeping the emo fire lit.
