Sometimes, simplicity is way better than complexity. That’s true of the debut album, Blow It Out!, from Seattle-based outfit Spiders from Uranus. The album presents succinct, explosive bursts of punk rock, imparting stories of sleazy parties, nightmares, and shifty characters with purple bruised eyes. Songwriter Chris Pugh explains, “I just wanted to simplify. I wanted to make it easier with the songwriting. It’s not rocket science for us. A feeling. Music of a certain era that I really like.
