Slayer are back! The thrash metal heroes returned to the stage this weekend for their first performance since November 30, 2019’s ‘final’ show at The Forum in California. On Sunday, September 22, the band hit Douglass Park in Chicago for the first of three U.S. festival dates at Riot Fest (Louder Than Life and Aftershock will follow in the coming weeks). And it was a typically almighty comeback, with Slayer kicking off a 20-song setlist with South Of Heaven and wrapping up with Angel Of Death. In between, they played Reborn for the first time since 2014, and 213 for the first time since 1998, as well as the likes of Seasons In The Abyss, War Ensemble, Dead Skin Mask and Raining Blood.
