‘Things One Shouldn’t Have Say’ is Rebuke’s first album for a mind blowing 15 years, and this new concept album also took a mental 5 years to come to fruition. But was it worth it? On initial listen you’re set upon by what feels like any other skate punk sound, rock guitar played at breakneck speed and vocals that narrate at said speed too. But drop in past all that and this is an album that splits into several layers, it looks at the world from an almost outside looking in perspective at times, it draws from the bands observations of a collapse in society in general and all the personal issues that come along with that.
